Firmware versions 4.0 and later are only compatible on OS0, OS1, OSDome, and OS1-MAX hardware versions Rev8 and later. Refer to firmware 3.x or earlier if you have Rev7 OS0/OS1/OS2, or earlier generation sensors.

Added

  • Rev8 support: Added support for the new Rev8 (RGB/MAX) hardware.
  • Lidar Profile: Added RGB single- and dual-return lidar profiles.
  • Lidar Profile: Added dual-return lidar profile for Zone Monitor.
  • Custom UDP Profiles: Added user-defined lidar UDP profiles. Start from a built-in profile template, adjust the field layout, validate it, and apply it as the CUSTOM profile through /sensor/custom_profile.
  • Zone Monitor: Zone Monitor lidar profiles now include Window field.
  • Lidar Mode: Added 512×15, 512×30, 512×40, 1024×15, 1024×30, 1024×40, 2048×15, 2048×20, and 4096×10 modes, and exposed the existing 4096×5 mode in the sensor web interface. Selectable modes are limited by the sensor’s maximum pixel rate, so 256-beam sensors do not support 1024×30, 1024×40, 2048×15, 2048×20, or 4096×10.
  • Secure Mode: Added Secure Mode, which requires authentication before the sensor can be configured. It adds Guest, Operator and Admin roles with per-role passwords, relaxed and strict reset policies, and HTTP API endpoints to enable, disable, and query Secure Mode, to log in and out, and to recover access after a lost password.
  • Security: Added support for secure boot and hardware-backed key storage.
  • OSSD: Added OSSD dual-channel output support, driven by Zone Monitor or other system-fault sources. Query the live output status, trip source, and latched trips or faults, and clear them with a reset.
  • Networking: Added a persistent ethernet MTU override under /system/network to enable jumbo frames.

  • IMU Profile: Default IMU packet format changed to the synchronous NMEA-capable format.
  • Zone Monitor: Sensor position transform is optional in zone configuration.
